Congratulations & messages of support

Dear Mike (Howlett)

I am writing to offer my sincere congratulations and compliments on the success and warm atmosphere of the MPG Producer Awards last night.
There is no doubt that the studio producers have a fundamentally important role in developing and supporting talent and producing great recordings which then become part of our cultural heritage. By the way, I could not help being struck by how gracious, intelligent and articulate ALL the recipients of the various awards were compared with others elsewhere! Also, not one single swear word! How refreshing.
Kind regards, Fran

John Leckie, record producer
Just a note to say had great time last night and vibe really good. I shook hands and enthused with Stevie Winwood!
Lots of important people and lets get more on next year!

Paul Mac, editor, Audio Media
Top night, I thought. Thanks to everyone who put a lot into making it happen.

Dave Robinson, editor, Pro Sound News Europe
What a brilliant night! Fantasatic! I shall be raving about it in the mag and newsletter.

Maggie Crowe, BPI
Well done guys – it was a lovely evening – exactly the right size which makes for an intimate atmosphere.

Dave Start, editor of Songlink
Top night – I had to get off a bit sharpish but was good fun to catch up with many old pals.

Sarah Yule, TL Audio
I really enjoyed the event, was a great night, well done to all!
Look forward to the next one.

Mike Sinnott, Alchemea
Thanks again for putting together a great event.

Phil Harding, MPG director
Hi All – I’ll add my ‘well done all’ to the pot, a fantastic evening!
all the best, Phil

Nicky Graham, record producer, previous MPG director
Mike Tony et al involved. I felt enormously proud of the Guild. We have finally come of age in a public sense.

I have been a member since the late 80’s and we were always perceived as the backroom boys doing fantastic work behind the scenes getting remuneration for Producers and many other fascinating seminars which continued to raise our profile.
Last night was our first attempt at putting the MPG onto a bigger stage and recognizing the tireless work of Producers who are usually the last to be lauded when success comes along and first to be fired if the project fails. Also recognizing the amazing contributions made by Mixers Engineers Mastering Engineers and even Tape Ops.

Maureen Droney, Sr. Executive Director/Producers & Engineers Wing The Recording Academy
Wow, I’m jealous – you guys got GREAT press – Congrats!

Paul Crognale, Marketing Manager, Shure Distribution UK
Just to say many thanks for organising last night, we had a really good time. They were the best awards I’ve been to to date. We would love to be involved again next year.
All the very best

Malcolm Ford, MPG director
Congratulation to Sue, Sadie, Mark and Tony for such a phenomenal evening. Way beyond what expected as it punched way above it’s weight yet it was intimate enough for everyone to have a good time.
Roll on next year.

Dylan, organiser of The Peoples Music Awards
Just wanted to extend my congratulations to you on the success of your first ever MPG Awards! Unfortunately I could not attend due to  work commitments (I am working myself into the ground getting ready for our awards) but I have heard nothing but praise for what was obviously an amazing night.
