I’ve been working alongside Taylor for the last 3 years, and have watched her move from assistant to engineer over the last year. She has worked hard in both the US and UK music industries – as an engineer in Nashville for Spotify after graduating summa cum laude from Berklee College of Music, an assistant at Bedrock in LA, and also doing mastering work and tape transfers in New York for Andreas Meyer – all before coming to London and working as an assistant at Strongroom and an engineer at Platoon. Her knowledge of tape operations and innovative recording ideas are refreshing and much needed in band sessions (which are her specialty), and she is always able to do the impossible. I cannot recommend Taylor enough for this award. She is a brilliant engineer, one of the best assistants, and a skilled musician.
