UK Music Creators Survey 2019

Dear Member,

We’re asking all our members to fill in the UK Music 2019 Creators survey to allow us to analyse trends and to document day-to-day conditions for creators in the music business.

This research will give us and UK Music key facts to use when speaking to politicians about our industry, and lobbying them for changes that could benefit engineers and producers. You can read the last year’s Measuring Music report here.

The last report revealed that the UK music industry contributed £4.5bn to the UK economy and sustained over 145,000 jobs.

Music is the engine room of the creative economy and this report gives us the hard statistics we need to negotiate the best policies for your future.

• It helps us to shape industrial strategy for the creative industries. It also helps us fight against the threats to grassroots music, like the closure of some of the country’s cherished music venues and studios.
• It supports our work making the case for the music industry to the Government and politicians.
• It helps us fight to protect the value of copyright and intellectual property and get a fair deal for everyone from creators to investors.

But most of all it allows us to recognise and acknowledge the value of your work.
