MPG Awards winners’ announcements which begin on 10 June we are delighted to be able to announce that Professor, sound engineer and record producer
Susan Rogers is the first female recipient of the
PPL – Phonographic Performance Ltd Present
The MPG Award For Outstanding Contribution To UK Music.
This is awarded by the Music Producers Guild Awards Committee and is presented to a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the music industry.
As staff engineer for Prince from 1983-1987, Susan worked on the classic records Purple Rain and Sign o’ the Times and has produced and mixed records for David Byrne, Barenaked Ladies and Tricky.
Susan is currently a professor at Berklee College of Music and runs a not-for-profit studio called The Record Company in Boston, MA.
