With just three weeks to go until the MPG Awards 2017, organisers are advising prompt action by anyone who wants to be there hasn’t yet bought a ticket.
“From previous experience, we know that the last few tickets will sell out very quickly in these final few days,” says MPG Awards Group Managing Director Tony Platt. “We wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on the opportunity to share this fantastic evening which, in true MPG Awards style, is bound to include a few surprises.”
Held in association with Prism Sound, which this year is also sponsoring the UK Producer of the year award, the MPG Awards 2017 will take place at the prestigious Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London on Thursday, 16th February 2017.
The 2017 Shortlist was fiercely contested and has resulted in a strong array of candidates reflecting a wealth of creative talent across many different genres. Paul Epworth, Fraser T. Smith and Nigel Godrich are among a host of internationally acclaimed producers vying for gongs and it has already been announced that Bowie’s producer Tony Visconti will be presented with the PPL-sponsored Outstanding Contribution to UK Music Award. He is also nominated in the International Producer of the Year category, sponsored by British Grove Studios.
This year’s Inspiration Award, sponsored by Audio Note, will go to producer and DJ Roni Size who will round off the evening by giving what promises to be a memorable performance. In previous years exclusive performances have involved award winners such as Dave Stewart, Youth and Trevor Horn.
“The MPG Awards are a highlight of the music industry calendar and always attract a glittering array of music making talent,” Platt says. “They provide a great opportunity to recognizes the best and brightest names in music production and they also great fun with celebrations continuing well into the night at the After Show Party in the Grosvenor House Red Bar.”
