G-Technology event

G-Technology logoFebruary 16th was the date of the first of an interesting and potentially valuable series of events organised by MPG Awards headline sponsors, G-Technology, in partnership with the MPG.

G-Technology is a cutting-edge company which manufactures hard drives, but the event was far from a simple sales pitch.  Bobby Lombardi, Mark Anderson and Alex Park of G-Technology described to the gathering of MPG Full Members their plans to bring to the UK, an initiative which as already grown roots in the USA, where their industry-based ‘community’ events have brought together artists, musicians, producers and studio owners to discuss many of the aspects which affect their work in music recording. These cover not only the technical but many of the creative aspects of music production.

Clearly G-Technology’s vision extends far beyond the prosaic marketing of their products. Bobby described how a concerted effort to bring people together from all the areas of creative music production has resulted in greater opportunities for people to collaborate.

We look forward to many more such collaborations with G-Technology in the UK!
