Proper credits information on commercial releases are vital to building and maintaining the reputation of recording professionals. Without credits how would anyone know about the vital work of the team behind the artist?
Most streaming and download services currently lack all but the bare minimum of credits information. However there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Last month the MPG held a panel event at The Church Studios in London to update members and non-members alike on all the issues surrounding online credits. For those who were unable to attend (or indeed, if you simply want to recap on everything covered) we have produced a video of the entire event!
Chaired by MPG Executive Director Dan Cox the panel features guests from JAXSTA, VEVA Sound, Session (formerly Auddly), Sound Credit and PPL.
