We achieved a very healthy turnout on June 22nd for the MPG’s panel event; ‘DIY – The Future For Record Producers?’, chaired by acclaimed producer and MPG veteran, Tommy D.
The panel comprising Adam Scrimshire (producer, DJ, label owner: Wah Wah 45s), Sarah Thirtle (Head of Business Lending Programmes, Creative United), Chris Tams (BPI Director of Independent Music Services), Ian Clifford (manager, author: Make It In Music) and Penny Ganz (music industry lawyer; Ganz Legal), discussed many issues on the topic and fielded questions from enthusiastic members of the audience.
The audio recording of the event is available for Full Members of the MPG to listen to at their leisure.
An obviously popular subject, the nature of DIY in record production will continue to provide a focus for MPG events in the future. Stay tuned to the MPG Events Calendar page for details.
