En route back to London, MPG directors, Mick Glossop and Andrew Hunt, stopped off in Glasgow to host a special Speakeasy social event, in conjunction with the Scottish Music Industry Association, at the Centre For Contemporary Arts on Sauchiehall Street.
The event was very well attended and the interest shown in the MPG as a focus for music professionals in Scotland will serve as inspiration for us to work towards setting up a formal MPG presence in Glasgow.
This is part of a new on-going MPG initiaitve to break out of the restricted, London-centric concentration, and provide services, benefits and events for those living and working in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the rest of England.
Stay tuned for more news…
Big thanks to Caroline Cooper and Stewart Henderson of SMIA for organising the venue and contacting local producers and engineers, including MPG Award-winning producer Paul Savage, PJ Moore, Mattie Foulds, Jimmy Neilson, Kevin Burleigh, Malcolm Lindsay and all the rest of you…
