New in UK Market

Hello MPG Forum members

I am a mixing engineer, relocated in London from Athens, Greece, two years ago. I was working in my own project studio in Athens, mostly with locals artists in Rock and Metal music. I came in the UK and joined to a Sound Design course at Bucks New University, which is very interesting I must say. But my main love is music production and engineering.

I would like to ask you how and where I can meet people from the industry and also I want to start get some connections with artists.
I want is to get to know fellow engineers and get connected with the UK music industry.

Kind regards
Ilias Gogakis

Hi Ilias,

You’ve come to the right place! The MPG represents producers and engineers and holds meetings and social events regularly.

MPG Basic Membership is free, but Full Membership provides you with many privileges, as you can see here:

You should be receiving all of our emails, which carry general news as well as information about events where you can meet fellow producers and engineers, as well as members of other organisations, e.g. the Featured Artists Coalition and AIM.

Looking forward to meeting you at one of the up-coming events!

If you need more information, email me at: backroom@mpg.org.uk

Mick Glossop (MPG Executive Director)

Hello Mick

Thank you very much for the worm welcome.
As I can see I need to submit info to allmusic.com and also need some Bio of my work.

The problem is that I have no history with major artists and I only did some mixing with local artists back home.
Nothing really exciting comparing to other members in here. This is one of the main reasons of the relocation.

Can you please help me on the registration please ?
My official website is http://www.iliasgogakis.com.
In my official website you can see some of my clients and my portfolio

Kind regards
Ilias

Hi was reading you’re post and I’m a student at the sae institute in haggerston east London studying audio production if you want to get in contact with engineers and producers get in contact with them and say who you are and that you are looking to network with engineers there and they will get your name out there and I’m sure you will get a lot of interest
