Vada Recording Studios

Vada is a wonderful and atmospheric place. Luxe, yet welcoming and inclusive. Artists that have recorded there include Mogwai and Doves and they have kept their doors open and operated safely during various lockdowns. They also support the excellent Ex Cathedras Singing Medicine charity programmes.

Amazing studio, love the vibe. But the fact it supports a charity that brings singing to children in hospitals is why I think it stands out the most among studios and deserves the award

Vada studios, whilst in huge amounts of hardship, continued to support Ex Cathedra Singing Medicine throughout the pandemic. A charity which does vast amounts of good for children up and down the country. As the Love Continues by Mogwai was recorded there in 2020 and subsequently released and nominated for a Mercury in 2021. Many other legendary albums produced in this beautiful building which has inclusivity and passion for music and uplifting artists at its heart. It also runs on solar power as part of a commitment to strive for a better world.

Vada has been providing an exceptional quality creative, inviting and inclusive commercial space for over 20 years. With excellent quality and attention to detail paid not only to the music but the musicians themselves, Vada has produced some of the most incredible albums of the last 20 years, including award winning albums and top 5 hits. Hugely deserving of this award, Vada goes above and beyond to ensure excellent client experience, the outcome of which is reflected in the high quality music produced by Vada.

Vada is a world class studio with one of the only custom built SSL G series desks still in commercial use today. The studio itself is beautiful and built with love and passion. It’s owner, Matt Terry, a producer of over 20 years has worked harder than anyone I’ve ever known to not only ensure his studio is the best it can be, but also the most inclusive. Behind the building is a kind, humble, incredibly hard working man who believes in music and it’s power. Every band through the doors, is lifted up by Vada and Matt. Encouraged and guided above and beyond. I know it would mean the absolute world to the team to receive this award and frankly as someone who has worked in the industry myself for 25years, no one is more deserving.
