Testimonials

As a producer & mixer previously known principally for his work in the rock and punk worlds, Thomas Mitchener emerged in 2020 as a stunning mix engineer in a diverse range of genres, with his mix credits including Tyler The Creator’s remix of La Roux’s Automatic Driver, Chappaqua Wrestling’s singles including Radio 1 favourite The Rift, Norwegian popstar Fanny Andersen’s Wake Up, The Futureheads’ acclaimed Powers album (hailed by The Guardian as a ‘welcome return for a singular and important band’), breaking rock acts Wargasm and BlackWaters, inventor and innovator LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER and singer songwriter Bryde, whose album The Volume Of Things Mitch produced and mixed. He also continued his creative partnership with Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, mixing unreleased tracks from the original album sessions including ‘Fire’ and compiling and mixing an album of live tracks he recorded for the upcoming Blossom anniversary reissue.

Over the last year I have worked with a very wide range of artists at all levels and across many genres as a mix engineer. From mixing punk bands, to singer songwriters, to pop and hip hop artists I pride myself in trying to gain as much understanding from the artist as to what they want from a mix so I am able to hopefully exceed their expectations and make it as enjoyable a process along the way. I have purposefully pushed myself to broaden my horizons with my mixing and I am never satisfied until a mix is the very best it can be.
