The Pool

Best studio in town, best assistants in town and I’ve had the pleasure of making many records here over the last year.

The Pool continues to consolidate its position amongst London’s finest tracking studios, and this year welcomed the likes of Florence & The Machine, George Ezra and Mount Kimbie for extended periods to work on upcoming album projects. Amassed by producer Ben Hillier and Anu Pillai, The Pool’s selection of mics, outboard and vintage Neve console ensures it rivals the most famous tracking studios in the UK. What really sets it apart however is the backline; from amps, keys, synths and kits to shelves of percussion – you’re never far from ‘that sound’ to complete your project. The incredible acoustics and vibe of the studio is attracting an ever-increasing number of filming projects and live performances, including the likes of Pale Waves, Maisie Peters, and most recently Wolf Alice for their Blue Weekend Tour Deluxe album (Disc 2). The Pool is also used extensively for orchestral and string recordings, (Little Simz, Cosima, Pete Tong) and film soundtracks including Disney’s Cruella.
