The Anchoress: ‘The Art of Losing’

Testimonials

Produced by Catherine Anne Davies, and mixed by Dave Eringa, Paul ‘P.Dub’ Walton and Mario Mc Nulty, The Art of Losing was one of the most universally acclaimed albums of 2021, with Album of the Year accolades from the likes of The Sunday Times, Record Collector, Line of Best Fit, Mail on Sunday, Prog Magazine, Metro and many more. The album hit No. 1 in the iTunes album chart and No. 9 in the UK physical album charts. As an ambitious studio-led project that was also in part engineered by Catherine, the album is a testament to her skill as a producer with an acute attention to detail and command of both traditional studio techniques and avant-garde creativity. Combining the more experimental sonic landscapes and experimental orchestral pieces alongside the BBC 6Music playlisted singles ‘Show Your Face’ and The Art of Losing, this is an album that combines both commercially successful results-as evinced by the Top 40 Chart position – as well as creatively experimental work.

This album is a masterpiece.
