Solar were thrilled to be able to add Stephen to our roster in 2020. Stephen is well known for his work with Damon Albarn across many projects including Gorillaz, Blur and The Good, The Bad & The Queen. 2020/21 saw the release of two major albums for this team. Damons’ solo album ‘The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows’ (which reached number 1 in the UK independent artist chart) and Gorillaz’s ‘Song Machine Season One’. ‘Song Machine Season One’ featured collaborations with global artists including Slowthai, Elton John, Slaves, Skepta, Robert Smith and Beck. The music was also used to soundtrack a series of animated shorts which have been viewed on YouTube over 100million times. Alongside these releases, Stephen also found time to mix a variety of UK and international artists including Sad Night Dynamite’s self titled album, Kaktus Einarsson’s album ‘Kick The Ladder’ and singles for Juliet (Universal Denmark) and The Million (Universal Australia).
