Stephen Kerrison 1

I think Stephen deserves to win the Rising Star MPG award as he has been working as a mastering engineer for a good few years now but lately his career has really started to grow. He is one of the nicest engineers you could possibly meet, and he is super focused on getting the best sounding masters for the artists he works with.

Stephen has applied his experience as a musician to mastering in an excellent way. He’s put the years of studying and performing the craft into a confident and concise approach to mastering. He’s the best listener I know and has a deep understanding of what an artist wants from an album which is ideal.

Stephen did a brilliant job with the songs we have sent him so far. Excellent quality of work and service. We will definitely be using TTAM to master the rest of the tracks as we finish them.

stephen is a DREAM to work with. a keen ear and a brilliant attitude. within moments he had my track sounding gorgeous through every imaginable sound device. He’s great at what he does and a real rising star.

Stephen is a great mastering engineer, really understands his work, he is superb to work with, very friendly, he has a wide knowledge of music to draw upon and a lot of experience of working in different genres. He pays attention to the details and we were delighted with the mastering he did on our song, and, will not hesitate to use his services again

I had always struggled to find a mastering engineer who would be open about the process and communicate with me about my ideas & the music as a whole. Stephen does all this and more. Every project I send to him comes back perfect and it is a real pleasure to hear my mixes given that last push into the next level.

Stephen worked on my debut solo album ‘Bloodletting’ as Mastering Engineer. Having written, recorded and produced this record myself, I needed at least someone to help pass the finishing post. Stephen mastered this album for vinyl and stream so beautifully and was sympathetic to the style and intimacy of the work. Not only that, he was committed to every moment of problem solving with me while we had to work remotely, which I really appreciated. Stephen made the finishing of this work easy, enjoyable and helped me a long way to appreciating what i’d made. I couldn’t recommend working with Stephen more highly.

Stephen did a really amazing job of making the mastering process inclusive. I’ve been to so many mastering sessions where it doesn’t feel like part of the record making process but Stephen has got a wonderfully musical approach. Great to work with him and certainly will be going back to Tall Trees Mastering.

Stephen did an amazing job mastering our EP, and did it extremely promptly. He’s a very talented mastering engineer with a fantastic ear.

Stephen deserves the MPG Rising Star award because since discovering the weird and wonderful world of mastering, he has consumed every morsel of information and pursued every opportunity out there to ensure that he is as good at his job as anyone could be. The gathering of this knowledge has paid off too; he has emerged into the world of professional audio a fully-formed expert and has quickly become the mastering engineer of choice of numerous recording engineers, labels and artists. I feel that my productions are safe in his capable hands and he is always able to eek out some kind of magical element that I didn’t even know was lurking in my mix.

They are a hard working, steadfast creative who is dedicated to the craft of mastering. Stephen has a passion for music and wants to bring the best out in everything he touches. He will work tirelessly to help mould and transform a song/album to help the artist shine to the best of his ability.
