Old Street Studios

Old Street Studios is a London recording studio founded in 2005, on the site of a former Public House (and gentleman’s club) by Jerry Kandiah. Jerry is a musician/ producer/ engineer who started his career as engineer to Andy Gill having built up a positive reputation recording albums for Killing Joke and The Futureheads. Today, Jerry is joined by musician and engineer Adam Warne and they’ve been running the studio as a small ‘home operation’ for a number of years before expanding last year by rebuilding the live room, renovating the building and building a new second control room from the ground up centred around an SSL console. The studio has worked with a number of artists big and small over the years including Placebo, Killing Joke, and Goldfrapp as well as assisting in post-production, ADR and voiceovers for the likes of the BBC, Disney, MTV, NSPCC, Red Bull and more yet has always remained a boutique, homely operation.
