Marina Elderton is at the forefront of a new vanguard of female film composers changing the landscape of music for moving image. An award winning scholar from the National Film and Television School, and an independent artist and producer (@eldrofficial), her practice combines experimental textures with traditional instruments. Her original soundtracks include the BAFTA nominated and BIFA/ Raindance award winning documentary ‘Poly Styrene: I AM A CLICHE’ (Sky Arts), Sudden Death: My Sister’s Silent Killer (BBC), Such Small Hands (Film4), and forthcoming feature ZERO (BBC Films/ BFI Films). Further projects include Royal Television Society Award winning documentaries, and internationally acclaimed animations and shorts. She has composed commercially for the likes of Vodafone, Rimmel, Cadburys, and Tesco. Her artist project ‘ELDR’ is supported by the PRS Women Make Music Foundation and her previous electronic project White Russia debuted with BBC Radio 6 Introducing.
