The Projects Matt has worked on this year have far exceeded the expectations and history of the artists he’s worked with, I do not believe this is a coincidence. Ninebarrow’s ‘A Pocket Full Of Acorns’ Album was recorded by, and mostly mixed by (and all the best mixes I would add, including Nestledown) Matt, and has gone on to win three awards. Best Album 2021 – Bright Young Folk, Best Album 2021 – The Folk Forecast, and Best Album 2021 – Stafford FM. Matt also recorded Kitty Macfarlanes ‘Half Wild’, who’s now on tour with Willie Nelson, and Frank Turners recent works, his most striking since 2013. Matt’s trajectory this year looks like the launchpad of a truly great career.
