lau.ra was shortlisted for Remixer of the year last year. She has continued remix, as well as get more accolades for her own production: Guardian ‘production-wise there are lots of interesting little sonic flourishes’, Nemone 6music – ‘a hugely talented producer’, Billboard Dance – ‘this is what the future sounds like.’ Laura became a mum in August 2021, and worked really hard to get a body of work together which meant that she could effectively spend a year focusing on her family whilst being able to continually release her own original productions. I think this is a fantastic achievement of building her career and being able to juggle work and life responsibilities. Wherever possible also Laura has been putting time in to supporting young producers, especially female, non binary producers through her workshops with Roundhouse, Youth Music, Future 1000 and many more.
