Peggy Seeger’s final original album ‘First Farewell’ has taken a LOT of work. In 2020 I wrote 2 successful grant applications to both the Arts Council Creative Fund and PRS Women Make Music fund. These gave us a total of Β£12000 for recording and marketing budgets. I managed recording sessions & oversaw all elements of the production. The album was released in April 21 on my label Red Grape Music. I put together freelance marketing teams for the UK and the USA, running a year-long campaign which resulted in Peggy’s first album chart placings in her 60+ year career on both sides of the Atlantic plus amazing media coverage. I’m also Peggy’s live agent, booking then rescheduling (twice) the ‘First Farewell’ tour through the pandemic. The tour will now finally go ahead as 30 UK dates in Spring 2022. I’ll be tour-managing. As the artist’s manager, label, agent & tour manager (and daughter-in-law), AND being the producer’s manager (and wife) I’ve managed to stay sane (and married). Just.
