A pioneer in a new generation of entrepreneurial female producer/songwriters, Hannah V’s insight and ability as a producer became more prominent in 2021. With an ear for fresh talent, Hannah V produced ‘Family Matter’s for RCA/Same Plate signee TOBi, whose album ‘ELEMENTS Vol.1’, won a JUNO award. Lavish K’s breakthrough single, ‘Yo Sho’, was spotlighted as BBC Introducing’s Track of the Week, and Nino SLG saw a similar wave of success. A co-producer of ‘Prison Walls’, Hannah was involved in a remix that was synced with Twinings. Elsewhere, Tara Lily was the 1st signing to Motown UK & released her debut EP. Hannah is credited for production on 4 out of 5 tracks incl lead single ‘The Things You Do’. Hannah also continued to regularly produce for JP Cooper. The cover of ‘Let It Be’ is a highlight from his Abbey Road EP, Hannah V also produced recent single ‘Holy Water’, alongside all gospel + acoustic versions of the series of singles released in anticipation of JP’s sophomore album.
Hannah V is one of the most hardworking producers I’ve ever worked with, and she’s a mean pianist too. This year saw her producing tracks for JP Cooper, Tara Lily, and Jo Harrop. Her career has been on an upward trajectory for the last few years, working with artists like Stormzy and Andreya Triana. I had the pleasure of assisting her sessions at Metropolis Studios for the acoustic versions of JP Cooper’s recently released EP. Always the first one in and the last one out, Hannah puts her heart and soul into her productions. Her musicality comes through in all her tracks. During our sessions, Hannah was communicating structural ideas back and forth to the artist, engineer, & other band members, adapting instructions for everyone so the session could keep running smoothly. She is also someone who shouts out her collaborators frequently and without fail. She gives credit where it’s due & is one of the few producing professionals I’ve come across who does so. Love your work, Hannah
