Testimonials

I recorded (and Co-produced) a couple of albums with the band Foals which were released this year. We spent the best part of a year on and off where the band would spend three weeks rehearsing, then three weeks recording. Which was quite an unusual situation to be involved in, and one that doesn’t happen so much these days. I was able to spend quite a bit of time working on the tracks (which eventually evolved into two albums). Towards the end of the album the pressure got quite high and the band left me in the studio for a while, where I was able to experiment a bit with the sound and try things like swapping all my plugins for outboard gear and putting everything to tape. I also produced and engineered ( as well as mixed and mastered) a record by Rina Mushonga. It was a very low budget record but got on the “Best records of the year so far” list in the Independent and got 8/10 on Pitchfork.
